Last year we were delighted to be invited to take part in the annual RHS Britain in Bloom competition. For context, only a handful of 'In Bloom' groups are invited to take part in each category of the national competition so it really was an honour for us, given Desford in Bloom has only been running for a few short years.
It made for a very busy summer but we were absolutely thrilled to be awarded a 'Silver Gilt'. We are also very proud that the Judges picked up on the 'strong community feel' we have here in Desford.
