The idea of a Heritage Trail for Desford grew out of a comment made by the RHS East Midlands in Bloom judges in one of their reports.   Kate, who leads the guided walks, has worked, in consultation with Desford & District Local History Society, to produce a series of information boards which are sited around the village with further boards to be added once funding becomes available. Eventually, we also hope to produce a trail leaflet.  The funding for this project is coming from the walks, from some generous donations and from grants.
